7 Principles of Wealth Planning & Preservation

We encourage all of our clients to live by these 7 principles. These principles have helped numerous clients turn their lives around, providing life stability, financial security and a plan for the rest of their lives.

I believe everyone can benefit from adopting this mindset and can go on to enjoy life and live life to the max.

My 7 principles are:

1. Life is not a rehearsal

We all know that there is no rehearsal with life, but we quite often get busy and forget that life is short. In any conversation we have about your finances, we will make sure to remind you and hopefully inspire you to take the trip, build the house, play more golf, buy the car, take the whole family away – basically ramp up life.

2. Get a better return on life

Money should be one of the few assets that help give you a better return on life. Making sure your investments serve you, for how you want your life to be, is how we approach your finances.

3. LIFE should be the center of any money conversation

We can all get hung up on what we want and that can sometimes take over when it comes to discussing money.

It’s about focusing on what you want in LIFE, how much you need to be living life on your terms and how you can get to that point.

We will always make YOU the center of all the strategies we help you with.

4. The TRUTH about money is the opposite of what you may think

We think differently and do the opposite to most financial advisors. There are many different approaches when it comes to finance, but we want to help you understand what we call the TRUTH about money. It’s about the tax wrapper or the specific funds. It’s about enabling you to live your life without fear of running out of money.

5. Work Optional Lifestyle Financial Planning has NOTHING to do with financial products

Focusing on financial products without having the proper financial planning is pointless. That’s not to say they don’t have their uses but making sure you have the correct financial planning in place for what you want to achieve is more important to your journey.

6. Financial products are JUST tools

Financial products should be viewed as tools to help your financial plan succeed. Tools can be swapped out and replaced all the time to help you on your financial journey.

It’s your plan that will get you to where you want to be and if you need to change your plan, you can do this with a review and then see if the tools you are using need to change to achieve your goals.

7. Life centered financial planning will deliver year on year.

While there are lots of things that will assist in both building your wealth and preserving it, making sure your plan is optimised year on year and centered around your life will help make your financial planning deliver year on year.
